Assistance Needed with NPrinting User Access Issue

Dear Experts,

I am facing an issue with one of our users (USER1) who is unable to download an on-demand report by clicking the on-demand button. Another user (USER2), with identical access rights, is able to download the report without any issues.

USER1 already has all the necessary access in the QMC, similar to USER2. However, USER1 was not present in NPrinting, so I added them. Upon doing so, I encountered the error: "Not NT Domain user, it can be used for JWT and SAML authentication" (screenshot attached).

To troubleshoot, I logged into the server and added USER1 under "Local Users and Groups" in computer management. Unfortunately, the error persists. I suspect that there might be a sync issue between Qlik Sense and NPrinting, but I’m not certain.

Could you please provide guidance on what I might be overlooking?


I am using Qlik NPrinting February 2021

Version: 21.0.0.0

and 

Qlik Sense Feb 2021 Patch 4
qliksenseserver: 14.5.10

Hi @sreevathsava 

  1. Qlik Sense and nPritning must be in the same domain
  2. Users must be domain users (adding them as local admins/what-not does not matter)
  3. Users must have domain account populated in NPrinting https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2024/Content/NPrinting/On-Demand/Create-Report-On-Dema...
  4. Users must have a role assigned in NPritning allowing them to generate OnDemand reports: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2024/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Managing-r... 

The screenshot showing that user is not a Domain User means it is not properly created in NPrinting (wrong spelling) or belonds to different domain in which case it will not work.

You must enable Windows authentication to use the Qlik NPrinting On-Demand Add-on on QlikView Web server and Qlik Sense.

Lastly i will just say that you are on currently unsupported version so to get proper Qlik support you would need to upgrade to currently supported version which i encourage you to do anyway
