Hi @poooja

In simplest terms, you can probably do the following to get the quickest results.

  • Clone/copy the chart
  • Disable 'legend' options from the cloned/copied chart and click 'done' to save your work
  • disable other not needed features in the 'presentation' menu option.

disable show legend.PNG

  • Name the chart appended with NP so you can find it easily in NPrinting.
  • Before the new chart can be used, reload the NP connection to the modified Qlik Sense app to allow the new chart to appear.
  • Add the new chart without legends to the NP report.

Hope this helps to guide you in the right direction...

Hi Frank,

Thanks for your reply.    My scenario is: User needs this bar chart with legends in qlik sense app. but in NPrinting we need to bring this chart without legend. In this case,

1. Please let me know if there is any option available without cloning the objects.

2. Is there a way i can hide the cloned copy in the dashboard when i publish it to the user.

Thanks,

Pooja

Hi @poooja

The best I could find is this formula to use as a calculation condition in your chart properties/addons/data handling:

  • =WildMatch( OsUser() , '*ADMINISTRATOR*' )
  • ADMINISTRATOR is your NP connection identity. If the user that accesses the chart does not closely match, you get an error "calculation condition not met"

It's not perfect but you get the idea. Perhaps some else here is a better suggestion.

Have a good weekend...

From top of my head September version supports conteiners. You may want to have 2 charts in conteiner. One with legend for UI and another only for NPrinting without labels.

My suggestion though would be to build it directly in PowerPont charts:
