Hello there,
I'm currently using Nprinting May 2021 SR2 (21.14.5.0), I have 2 CPU and 2 virtual cores.
My problem is that all my Nprinting task runs one after the other and not simultaneously. Do you guys have any idea about what could be the reasons it doesn't work ?
Thanks in advance,
Fabien.
Fabien,
How much RAM does each of your CPU Cores have? See the minimum requirements: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2021/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/System-requirem...
Hello Lucas,
I have 8Go of RAM in total, I'm pretty sure I have all the requirements to run tasks simultaneously.
Do I have to change any settings in Admin or anywhere else to specify precisely to Nprinting that I want to run tasks in parallel ?
If you run say 20 publish tasks and you only have 2 cores/processes, Nprinting scheduler and engine will assign jobs to 2 available processes.
To improve your situation to run more reports/tasks executions simultaneously, you would need to add more CPU's/hyperthreaded processes.
AT the moment in your environment, some of your tasks will have to wait until some cpu processes become available. Adding resources (CPU and RAM) is probably a good idea.
You can use this hidden link to view the NP scheduler/engine at work as well. Replace your NPserver name with your own.

Thanks for you answer Lucas,
The real problem is that even with my 2 CPU, 2 virtual cores and 8Go RAM, i can't even run 2 tasks at the same time.
There must be something that makes it impossible right ?
Kind regards.
@Fabien_S I agree with Frank, 2 CPU and only 8GB of RAM is a very very minimal configuration, I would first bump up both of those and then watch for any changes in performance...if after adding CPU/RAM performance still seems low, suggest opening a support case.
