NPrinting 17 Editing template on desktop

I installed NPrinting 17 on a server and have been able to create a powerpoint report on the server.  However I cannot edit the template when I login from my desktop.  I click the edit template button and nothing happens.  I tried with Excel and HTML, same thing no template can be edited.

Did you install NP Designer v17 on the desktop? If so, does your user profile have permissions to edit/create reports?

I did not install NP Designer 17 on my desktop.  I did not realize there was a desktop version of NP Designer 17.  My NP user account has been setup up with admin privileges.

I just installed NP Designer 17 on my desktop and now I can edit templates from my browser.  Funny I read that there was no Desktop designer component and that lead me down the wrong path.  Thank you Stephen Jasionowski!

The steps I needed to take were (in simplified terms are):

1. Install NPrinting Server, NPrinting Engine and NPrinting Designer on Server

2. Install NPrinting Designer on client

3. Access NPrinting Designer from client thru browser using Server url.
