NPrinting Nov 19 Using select and lock in QVW

Hi

I need some help on how i can select a field, lock it and then save. i then run the report in NP 16 and it generates what i need. 

In NP 17 this is not the case as when i request the report, it clears all selections in qvw

is there a work around?

I suggest:

• creating a 'filter' that you wish to emulate 'locked' behavior for.
• then adding this filter as a 'report' filter to your report so that it generates the results for any user or group that the report is distributed to.

This is not actually a 'lock' but it does emulate the behavior of the 'lock' field selection so long as you keep the filter assigned to the report.

Thank you Frank, i did think about that and may be there was another way, but i guess filter is the way forward.
