NPrinting Pixel Perfect and using tables in containers

Hello,

Can I store multiple tables in a Container with Nov 2020 and use all the tables in NPrinting Pixel Perfect?

I am not sure if the tables that are in the container are updated if they are not visible?

I am using NPrinting on demand and I would like to create hidden tables (from the user) that I can use in NPrinting using Containers.  I would also like to hide the tabs in the container to make the tables not visible to the user.  I need to do this because I have to create columns in my tables for NPrinting that the user does not need.

Thank You,

Michael

Hi,

Yes, if a supported object is inside a Qlik Sense container, it can be used  https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2022/Content/NPrinting/ReportsDevelopment/Qlik-objects-supp... in all types of template and in all treeview nodes that supports that type of object. You can simply refresh the cache, open the Designer (always after the cache refresh or close and reopen it) and do a right click on the node where you want to add the object and you will see the list of al objects of types supported for the selected node.

Hidden objects should be visible but in scenarios like yours I would like to suggest to evaluate the creation of a Qlik Sense app only for reporting.

I suggest you to give a check at the list of not supported objects https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2022/Content/NPrinting/ReportsDevelopment/Qlik-objects-supp...

Best Regards,

Ruggero

Hello,

Thank You.

While I would consider developing a qlik sense app for reporting, I am doing this for On-Demand.  Basically I am creating a pixel perfect representation of the current sheet.

Because I cannot be sure hidden objects in a container will work all the time with On-Demand, I am going to add some extra columns to my existing table and set the text to white so the data will not display in Qlik but can be used in NPrinting.

Thank You,

Michael
