Hello,
If I want to import users and only have then use Windows Authentication can I leave the password value in Excel Blank?
My goal is to setup a group of users from On Demand only and allow them to run a report. I have already created the role to give them access to the report.
I don't want or need to have them login with a username. I only need them to run On Demand and I want to only use Windows Authentication.
Thank You,
Michael
After some testing, yes you can.
I added a user account manually in the web console with no password.
You get a message that (NPrinting Security) authentication won't be possible if a blank password is use.
This means that a blank password can't be used to open the account using email address and password.
From there I can however login with the blue Windows Auth button successfully.
caveat
I didn't test with a blank password in the import file.
Kind regards..

Hello,
Thank You that is exactly what I want.

Suggest testing before deploying system wide.

Hello,
I did a test with a single user and it seems to work.
Thanks,
Michael
