NPrintingQlik N-Printing Rendering Images from IE errors

Hi Community,

I have a client with NPrinting (May2022) in a server and then 2 servers (with 2 licenses differents) with Qlik Sense Feb2022.

1 server is working correct, all reports and emails are running as expected, but in the other server connections to app are working, however when we created publish tasks for them they will fail to generate any images, citing ERROR: CEF rendering exception. Error during GRPC request.

The client said he check this article:

https://community.qlik.com/t5/Knowledge/Nprinting-Log-ERROR-CEF-rendering-exception-GRPC-rendering/t...

and everithing is okay.

I checked this article:

https://community.qlik.com/t5/Knowledge/How-To-Check-Open-Ports-Using-PowerShell/ta-p/1714308

And the ports returns failure  (see attachment), but their Security team said that the ports are open and they can't find any block there

Any Ideas? Can someone explain to me how the data flows between both servers?

Thanks

Hi @Frank_S ,

Thanks for your comment.

Actually the client has 4 servers:

xxProd1 and xxProd2 in a domain

jjProd1 and jjProd2 in another domain

Not sure abot this part:

  • Note that all additional QS servers must be in the same domain as the original QS and NP servers.

Should I have 4 certificates in the NPrinting server folder?

"C:\Program Files\NPrintingServer\Settings\SenseCertificates"

Same domain deployment where NPrinting is connected to Qlik Sense is a deployment requirement.

Sorry, my mistake, they are in the same domain.

No worries...then I suggest to carefully review and apply the article I recently share regarding connecting to multiple qlik sense servers.

Kind regards..

Hi @Frank_S ,

I tried everithing but I could't fix the issue.

One question:

I Opened NPrinting serve mmc with services account and in:

Certificates - Current User --> Personal --> Certificates and I have a Qlik NPrinting certificates and the same certificate than the server that is working, but I don't have the certificate of the sever that is not working, should I have the certificate here?

(I do have both certificates here: "C:\Program Files\NPrintingServer\Settings\SenseCertificates")

If you've exported the certificates accurately (no password and include secret key) this is an important component.

The next important component is that you manage the local intranet settings (also in the article I shared with you). Please go back and ensure that you did that. Here are the specific steps. This needs to be done on the NP server and make sure to insert each Qlik Sense server URL that you are using for each specific QS deployment.:

Lastly,

Make sure that you do NOT have IE enhanced security enabled.

See

Please applied the above and confirm once done and it if solves the issue.
If not, we well start a support case for you.

Kind regards..

Hi @Frank_S ,

Yes I did step 1 and step2

And regarding this point:

Make sure that you do NOT have IE enhanced security enabled.

It's ON, but it's ON in both servers and  1 server is working

...Until it doesn't

Please turn it of as per the requirement and test again if you haven't already done so...thanks.
