Nprinting API

Hello, I would like to know if using the qlik nprinting api we can deliver templates between environments and automate the process?

Thanks a lot,

Best regards,

Claudomir.

Hi,

When posting a new question in the community please invest the time to share with us the correct information, included the correct version of the software you are using because the answer could depend on it.

If you are really using QlikView NPrinting 16.0 as per the label you added, please note that 16.* is no more supported so plan the migration to latest version as soon as possible. All details are in https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2021/Content/NPrinting/Migrate/Migrating.htm. QlikView NPrinting 16.* has not APIs and it was file based so to migrate a template you can simply copy the template file and the projects (.nsq files) where it is used.

Qlik NPrinting 17+ has API documented in https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2021/Content/NPrinting/Extending/Intro-Extending.htm. Refer to the documentation page related to the version of the software you are using. There is not an API to export or import report templates, you have to manually do the work. I would like to suggest you to search for this topic in the community because there are other conversations on the topic that could be useful for you.

Best Regards,

Ruggero
