Hi,

You are looking for a file of Qlik NPrinting 17+ that doesn't exists in 16.* maybe because you read about it in 17+ help site. In 16.* and previous versions logging system worked in a different way than 17+.

To understand why your tasks are failing please share with us the logs you can find in the path @Lech_Miszkiewicz indicates you. In that tab of the Server you can configure everything about the logs.  Also the screenshot of the QlikView NPrinting server 16 could be useful because it has messages.

Check the QlikView Desktop license for the user who runs the QlikView NPrinting Windows service. Maybe it is running in Personal Edition that is not supported instead when you run manually NPrinting uses the logged in user that has a valid license. Be also sure you are not using dynamically assigned CALs. Use a Named CAL or a license code with control number.

Then you are using a version that is not more supported for over 2 years and a half so you must plan the migration to a supported version as soon as possible. Thanks. For example, I don't have a 16.* server to make tests or screenshots anymore.

Best Regards,

Ruggero

hahah... how many times we need to say that you will not find that file as that files does not exist in NPrinitng 16 version you are using?

Qlik.Nprinting.Engine.exe. DOES NOT EXIST IN VERSION 16 of NPRINTING as NPrinitng 16 is completely different product in comparison to NPrinting 17 and later.

Hi,

You are looking a file of Qlik NPrinting 17+ in a 16.6 installation.

QlikView NPrinting 16 is no more supported since March 2020. Please plan the migration to a supported version as soon as possible. Refer to https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2022/Content/NPrinting/Migrate/Migrating.htm

Hi @Lucas_Gatling ,

Thanks for your response.

There is no such folder of Nprinting in C:\ProgramFiles. But there is a folder of Nprinting Server outside program files i.e in C drive, but there is no config file.

PFB screenshots for reference.

Hi @nilesh007 What makes you think such a file exists at all for NPrinting 16?

Hi @Lech_Miszkiewicz ,

Because all our nprinting task is getting failed and reports are not getting delivered by scheduling the task, but if we run it manually it gets completed and reports are getting delivered. and we are unable to find logs as well.

Information about where the logs are stored when run from NPrinting server service is captured in NPrinting 16 Server console. We dont know how you have configured your NPrinitng 16 server so we will not be able to answer.

Open up your server console - check where the logs should be placed and thats it - check it there.

As others mentioned - your question asking about "Qlik.Nprinting.Engine.exe." does not apply to this version of NPrinting!

Hi @Lech_Miszkiewicz

Thanks for your response.

From the server console log settings, we checked the log, here the log shows the info about the report.
