Pivot table in NPrinting giving only the first row value instead of complete data even when there are no filters applied

Dear All,

We have newly installed NPrinting and have created an NPrinting report in which I am taking a straight table and creating a pivot table using the straight table inside NPrinting.

But the pivot table (created in NPrinting) is giving only one record(from the first line) in the output but if I create a pivot table using the straight table from the output file again (manually) it is giving all the data properly.

There are no filters applied in the NPrinting report development. I am unable to understand why NPrinting is giving report like this.

Any and all assistance is appreciated.

Thanks & Regards

The source data of your pivot table should be Straight Table with 1 extra empty row with deleterow tag in it. I guess you dont do that hence obviously your pivot table does not expand. Are you following steps like instructed in documentation? https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2025/Content/NPrinting/ExcelReports/Pivot-table-Excel....

cheers

Sorry @qliksenseadminthomascook

your screen looks unusual thin. Is it possible that you reduced size of the window so that your fields are not visible because your excel window is minimized? I marked on screen where I think your fields are, it is just unusual small window (on your screenshot you only show window with only 13 rows. Check below what i mean.

I am sure thats what it is!

Dear Lech_Miszkiewicz,

Thank you for your response. I appreciate your prompt reply. I am following the same procedure however, now I am not even able to select the fields in the pivot table. Please check the images added where no fields are showing up on the right hand side for pivoting.

Thanks in advance.

That is strange. If followed properly there should be no issue. I notice that you have PivotTable4 and Sheet4 which is unusual if you just create from start to end straight table and then pivot table.

try creating new template and replicate all the steps exactly like in the help site (just with yours straight table data)!

this is so we eliminate any sort of template corruption as i think you have already worked and created and deleted multiple sheets in this one.

let me know…

Is your straight table declared with headers? It looks strange in screenshot that dashed line indicates that straight table starts from second row instead of first…
