Qlik NPrinting Designer May 2023 - RPC error

Hello,

One of my users uses an Excel report with the NPrinting designer, and for some time now he has been unable to open his report and receives the following error :

The RPC Server is unavailable :

The report uses a Qlik Sense connection (Qlik Sense May 2023 Patch10). It works on my side, so i think the problem comes from the user's computer.

The MS Office version used by this user is Office 2021, i'm not sure that this is compaltible with NPrinting, but the user still managed to create his report initially.

I made sure he didn't already have an instance of Excel open, but that's not the case :

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2024/Content/NPrinting/Troubleshooting/RPC-server-unav...

I also followed all the steps listed in this document, but it still doesn't work :

Can you help me ?

Thanks

i just find the solution. The user must have an instance of excel already open for the designer to open the report. in any case, this is what allowed me to solve the RPC error in 2 similar cases.

@Emmanuel_DORR have them go through these resolutions:

Are they going over a VPN? If they access it directly via the NP server/jump box does that work fine?
