Run nPrinting Publish task again on Failure

Is there a way to set up a trigger that runs on a task failure? like in QMC?

Occasionally my publish tasks fail, and then I just run them again and they work no problem (still trying to figure out why they failed in the first place); wondering if its possible to set up a trigger to run the task again if it failed the first time?

Hi - It is not possible via out of the box Admin console, but I can see it easily implemented when using API and task chaining from QMC. Since there you would have ability to check task status you could have conditional retry written in the script.

More details here:

cheers Lech, When applicable please mark the correct/appropriate replies as "solution" (you can mark up to 3 "solutions". Please LIKE threads if the provided solution is helpful to the problem.

Hi,

To understand the cause of the errors, you could check:

- Tasks Executions page https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/September2020/Content/NPrinting/AdministeringQVNprinting/Tasks...

- the logs also by setting them in debug mode https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/September2020/Content/NPrinting/AdministeringQVNprinting/Loggi...

Best Regards,

Ruggero
