Sender Name for Email Reports

Hello. Is there a possibility to set up a Sender Name for email repots in NPrinting?
I've found only option to set it up only for notfication emails.

Hi,

The sender name field was removed in recent versions. You can only specify the email address on Qlik NPrinting side. I don't know if on your email client or SMTP server it is possible to configure it to be displayed.

Unfortunately the video my colleague Lucas sent seems to have technical issues.

 

If you are noticing the same, check the following help page and video included in this page. At 1minute30seconds, the video describes how to insert from a list of possible "From" users or you can type a "Custom" user in the "From" field.

Hello Frank.
Unfortunately, this is not what my client needs. We’re looking for field where the „Sender Name“ for email reports could be set up (just like for notifications emails).

Hi Viktor!

Did you manage to set up the name of the sender?

I think I have the same issue, right now I send emails with "no-reply@acme.com" and I need to send them as "Business Intelligence ACME Corp.  <no-reply@acme.com>"

Hi Frank_S,

Sorry, I must have had some problem reading the post, I didn't see the answer marked as correct.

Anyway, it's not working:

  • I configured a Task wit a user with sender name and email but the maiI sent by the task still lacks the sender name.
  • The default sender I can define in the Email options does not accept a sender name.
  • Notification email sender can be configured with a name, but that doesn't affect Task sent emails. Notifications also lack sender name even though it's configured.

Any tips?
