Setting width for the page for the PDF report
Hi All,
We are using on demand reporting and our output is in the pdf format.
It seems our last column of the table is not appearing in the generated output.
Could you please suggest where to set the width of the page so that I can get the column and values in the output.
Thanks

Hi,
Please specify what kind of template are you using. I suppose, reading your text, that you are creating a PDF from an Excel template. In this case please note that Excel is not the best choice to format the PDF layout. You have to proceed by trial and errors to find the best settings.
You can try to set the page width to 1 page in the template:

This is just excel setting and printing from excel is set in Print Area.
Once you declare print area you can then choose setting Ruggero suggested like ("Width" - 1 page) etc...

Hi,
Thanks for your valuable response.
Currently I am facing the issues related to the formatting.
I received the comment as "check you’re using the entire width and height of the page".
i am using excel bar chart and line chart, the I am unable to move or align.
There is also issues related to the font size.(I checked i am using the same font size and till there are issues.)
Could you please suggest the steps that I need to follow for the formatting.
Thanks

If you are using multiple excel sheets then in order to retain the same font size you need to ensure that "Print Area" has also the same width which in turn typically is controlled by columns width. So whatever print area is setup on each sheet it needs to have exactly the same width if you want it to be consistent on all pages.
If the print is set to "1 page" width then obviously it getting scaled to the size of PDF page print (letter, A4, A3 or whatever you have set).
So - This is not really nprinting question you have. You can address this question to excel experts on microsoft community. Simply produce your report as excel and then open it and try to print it as PDF - as this is exactly what NPrinting does.

Hi @deep2021
I said it already - it is not only the same font size but also the very exact width of all columns which are within the print area. That means that width of print area needs to be exactly the same amongst all sheets.
The matter is quite clear and there is nothing else to add to it so if you still struggle with that setup I think you should maybe try and get a consultation from experienced Qlik partner who will show you how to do it. Here on community we already provided you with all required information and on top of that this not even NPrinting issue - as i is simply excel behaviour when setting printing from excel.
cheers
Lech

Hi,
If your goal is to create PDF and have a full control of the layout it we suggest to develop a PixelPerfect template.
Exporting Excel, Word and PowerPoint templates in PDF is supported but not ideal. Creating a PDF from an Excel template always rises the layout issues you are experiencing and the cause is that Excel itself is not designed for this usage. So you have to proceed by using Excel native formatting features, as suggested by @Lech_Miszkiewicz , and by testing, checking the results and try to modify the template.
There are no other ways. There are many conversations here in the community about this topic, so you could also give a check at them to find more suggestions but it will stay a matter of using Excel features.
Best Regards,
Ruggero
