Two NP Licence but no admin for admin this.

Hello, I have a question, if we have two contracted Nprinting licenses, assigned to two users and both users "remove" them, how do I regain access as admin to reassign it?

Hi,

It is unclear what actually happend.

  1. Are you really on NPrinitng 17.3?
    1. If yes - contact support!
    2. If not - tell us the truth about your version please
  2. Are you saying that you are in the situation where you had 2 users with administrator role (not license!!!) assigned and both of them dont have admin license any longer?
    1. If that is the case you should still have access using the nprinting repository user (the one you create when you install nprinting). If that was one of the users wo lost their role there is alwas hard access to nprinting repository via postgre SQL - but for that you want to get Qlik support involved as any steps I would provide could damage repository and are not officially supported.

Hi,

It is not possible to remove all users with administrator role from a Qlik NPrinting installation (at least on supported versions). So there still is at least one user that can administer your installations.

The best option is to investigate and find which profile it is and recover its password using the UI link.

If you do not remember which user has administrator role I strongly suggest to open a support ticket because it is possible to retrieve the list of those users with a SQL query.

Best Regards,

Ruggero
