User Recipient List filtering

Hello,

I am working with a client who has has a number of divisions under the overall company umbrella.  Each division has its own AD and acts as its own, therefore, information/data/users should not be shared.

All security roles are set up within NPrinting and are working as expected, I have restricted each security role to only have access to the relevant apps relating to that division.

The issue comes when the user is creating the user recipient list for the report distribution.  They see ALL users in the NPrinting user base when adding recipients under Users/Groups within the Publish Task options.

Is there a way to restrict that list to only show the users relevant to that division?  I know you can set up distribution groups......but the users will still appear in that drop down list.

thanks for any forth coming help!

Hi,

Users are for the whole Qlik NPrinting installation and not by App, so you cannot hide them by app. Only another user with Users rights in its role can see, manage, etc other uses.

thanks Ruggero.

Will probably advise setting up the distribution groups and using them rather than entering individual user names.......

Yes, I suggest to use groups. Its made also maintenance easier.  You will simply need to add a user to a group and its will receive all reports sent to that group instead of adding the same user to many tasks with the risk to forget some.
