When I create a connection in NPrinting, the following error occurs during the test check

Hi all,

MicrosoftTeams-image.pngCapture.PNG

My Qlik NPrinting and Qlik Sense are installed on the same computer, and the NPrinting Engine has been successfully run, but the following error occurs when creating a Connection. Do I need to join the computer to a domain to pass the authentication? Or can the authentication pass normally without joining the domain?

Hi.

1. read documentation on https://help.qlik.com. There is very long list of requirements and supported configurations

2. qlik sense and nprinting installed on single machine is not supported (it may/may not work. Sometimes it does and sometimes doesnt which is why it is not supported)

3. Yes-you should have your server connected to domain and accounts used should be domain accounts.
4. if it is just for testing-even with that error it may be possible to use nprinting and generate metadata-i do it on my pc for testing sometimes

there is more, but i guess you can read all the same from help side

cheers

Hi @Lech_Miszkiewicz

Regarding the fourth point you provided, metadata can indeed be generated, but when I create reports, select any type, and edit template, I don’t see any report or any appMicrosoftTeams-image (1).png

same - you need nprinting training... or little bit of study from help document.

To bring in tables or images or variables you need to right click on either Level, Images, Tables, Cells...etc and select "add levels" or  "add objects" or "add cells" etc...
