excel pivot table conditional formatting

Hello,

I am using these instructions to create an Excel Pivot Table.

I am applying conditional formatting in Excel but when the Pivot table is generated the Conditional Format Rules are getting modified.   Why does this occurr?

Hi Michael,

you may want to share little bit more light on what conditional format rules you have applied and which ones do not work for you and how you create them. 

I just tested mine and they work just fine. See screenshot and notice that rules you create need to apply to pivot table (not to the range of cells as those are dynamic)

I realize that when an Excel Pivot table is refreshed the highlight rules change.

I am going to take a different approach.
