A new column was added to our source table in SQL Server which automatically added in Target but no data is populated

A new column was added to our source environment and it automatically was added to the target environment through replicate as I would expect.  The issue is there is no data being populated.  Is there a setting to have that data start flowing through?  I would appreciate any help

Hi @pkagel ,

When the column is added the data transfer should start(when you enable the DDL capture). We need to analyze your scenario so please create a case.

Thanks,

Swathi

Hello,

Can you check if articles were created for this new column that was added?

Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for the post to the QDI forums. If the data is not being captured in the current Table with the added column you can have the Publication Dropped and stop and restart the Replicate Task as this will check and if the Publication is not defined it will create it and add the Articles/Tables which may help correct the condition. As noted by Swathi its dependent on your specific scenario. Hope this information is helpful.

Thanks!

Bill
