I am currently working on transitioning the authentication method for an existing user setup in Snowflake from password-based authentication to key pair authentication within Qlik Replicate. I am following the official guide provided by Qlik, but I am encountering an issue.
In the Qlik Replicate Console, under Manage Endpoint Connections, I only see options for OAuth and Password authentication in the dropdown menu—there is no option for Key Pair Authentication or upload keys. Given that my version is 2023.11, I would like to understand if there is a workaround or if key pair authentication is supported in this version.
just to add I have followed the exact instruction and i am gettig this error I can see the private keys in the location ihave specified :
Hi @SHARMA-G
Key pair authentication for Snowflake is not supported in the November 2023 version you’re using. It is available starting from the May 2024 release.
I recommend you upgrading to May 2024 if you want to use key pair.
Thanks for the clarification. So, this error is due to the need for a version upgrade rather than an issue with the steps I followed. Since the guide I referenced was written in 2022 which is prior to the ver I am using, so I thought this should work, is there a more updated version available? link I am looking is https://community.qlik.com/t5/Official-Support-Articles/How-to-setup-Key-Pair-Authentication-in-Snow...
Hello @SHARMA-G ,
The link you mentioned is good enough.
You may download Replicate 2024.5 SR1 , or 2024.11 from https://community.qlik.com/t5/Download-Qlik-Products/tkb-p/Downloads.
Good luck,
John.
