We get occasional requests to schedule a task to kickoff the third Sunday of the month, 1st Monday after a full-moon, etc.
The built-in schedule is limited to daily, monthly, or weekly at a fixed time. We've alleviated some of these by setting up a scheduled task on the server (calling the repctl.exe command), but I'm wondering if there's anyway to do this within the application.
Thanks.
@PGN from the replicate console / change over to server setting, there is a scheduler option.
that is currently what Replicate have, if outside of your setting or something that you see missing, then it would be a feature request:

I don't think Replicate will ever be getting enough date/time control to handle the funky stuff like
- first Sunday, after the first full moon, in the spring (Easter!)
You should look into a dedicated scheduling tool or just manually wing it with REPCTL or The Enterprise Manager API as you did.
You may want to know that Replicate can do something more than the GUI suggests.
If you export-all then in the scheduler section you will find CRON control strings which implement your selection.
Replicate itself, but not its GUI, actually follows the full set of CRON rules, so if you edit the string you can make it do hourly or every five minutes - but still not: fourth Thursday of November (USA Thanksgiving) :-). If you make such change in the JSON, and re-import then the GUI will not reflect that, but it will work. Try it for yucks!
For details check any using CRON man page or: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cron
