Hi Support,
I'd like to understand what effect changing the settings of a streaming endpoint would have on the task run options. If credentials are updated in the target streaming endpoint, would a full reload of the tables be required? Or would the task be able to resume processing of CDC?
For example, if a Full Load + CDC task was streaming changes to an Amazon Kinesis endpoint, the task was stopped, and the access key and secret key of the Kinesis endpoint was changed, would the tables need to be reloaded?
Apologies if this has been covered in a previous community article.
Regards,
Nak
Hello Nak, @NakulanR
It's been long time. How are you?
For streaming target endpoint, NO, you need not to reload the table or task. Simply stop the task, modify the target endpoint settings, then resume it, all will work fine.

John.
Hello @NakulanR
I think Normal Resume would work. Please test it in lower environment first.

Hello @NakulanR
Good Day
We recommended to stop the tasks using the endpoint. Proceed with the password change. Updated the password in the endpoint and then resume the tasks.
As mentioned by Suresh we always recommend trying in lower environment before!!

Hello @NakulanR ,
Replicate has mechanism in order to store the last saved scanned SCN from source and target at locally, whenever any such occurs replicate will not be able to send any transactions to the target and task would fail such scenario. Whenever it fails it will start with where it has stopped.
So, you just need to update required credentials and resume the task.
