Error while restoring Qlik replicate data folder

Hi Team,

We want to upgrade Qlik replicate from November 2022 to May 2023 version ,Before the upgrade we took backup of Data folder.

Is it needed to restore data folder or not after upgrade is done.(question)

(to verify rollback)

After upgrade we tried to restore the data folder which we took before upgrade but after restoring the old data folder. Qlik UI server service is not starting we observed the below warning
Warning message :(Service is started and stopped automatically because this service is not used by any service and program)

Could you please let us know why we are getting this and what we need to do to resolve if we need to restore the old data folder - Please let us know the process

Thanks

N L N Vivek

Hello @Naga_vivek ,

Thanks for reaching out to Qlik Community!

No, no need to restore the DATA folder.

Qlik Replicate stores all information include task configurations, Replicate runtime informaiton, and all other necessary information in SQLite repository files. During the Qlik Replicate version upgrade, the SQLite repository version will be upgrade too. if you restore the Repository back then make the executeable files versions and the repository version mismatch.

The backup of the DATA folder is usefull whenever the upgrade failed, or for some reason you want withdraw to previous version(s).

Hope this helps.

John.
