There are 2 scenarios, the missing happens during Full Load, or during CDC. Hope the 2 articles help.
While table creation in the source , if the task stops unexpectedly , then what will happen? -- asked in the interview.
Replicate automatically maintains the source side transaction log stream position, if you are concerning if Replicate takes duplicate changes (DML, or DDL eg table creation), the answer is NO, Replicate will resume from last broken position in the next time startup.
