Google Cloud BigQuery Connection error: Google SDK is not installed

When downloading the Google SDK for the Google BigQuery target prerequisites, you may encounter the following error message if you select 'Single User (user running the install)' in the SDK install steps.

Error in endpoint connection:

" SYS-E-HTTPFAIL, String 'pathname' passed as empty string to exists.SYS,GENERAL_EXCEPTION,String 'pathname' passed as empty string to exists,Google SDK is not installed. "

When you get to the step "Please select install type:" within the SDK set up, choose for "All users" so that the Replicate account has access.

Hi Kelly,

Thank you for reporting this and for the suggested workaround!

In other cases, where users faced the same error, we also identified that this issue could be related to either some permissions problems or to the fact that Qlik Replicate services were requiring a restart, by following the below steps:

1. Go to services.
2. Select Attunity Replicate Server and Stop.
3. Select Qlik Replicate UI Server and Stop.
4. Wait a few minutes.
5. Start the UI server and the Attunity Replicate servers again.

If after checking the permissions and following the above instructions, you still see the same error message, we'll be happy to investigate this in-depth through a Support Case that you may open with us (please, upload the repsrv.log to the support ticket).

Thank you and I hope this helps! Happy Holidays!

Dimitri

Hello @KellyHobson , @Dimitri_Remez ,

I ever tried to reproduce the issue in my env however all works for me, I cannot get the problem here. Not sure how about "Run As Administrator" on the file "SimbaODBCDriverforGoogleBigQuery64_2.4.3.1012.msi"?

thank you,

John.
