Having an issue connecting from a qlik replicate server (azure vm) to kafka broker in confluent cloud.

I entered the broker server and port.  For security have use ssl checked and a ca path to a .pem file (installed in local server cert store on replicate server).  Authentication is username and password (SASL/PLAIN).  Entered username and password.

 

when testing get: 

  • SYS-E-HTTPFAIL, Failed to get Kafka metadata: Local: Broker transport failure. _TRANSPORT.
  • SYS,GENERAL_EXCEPTION,Failed to get Kafka metadata: Local: Broker transport failure. _TRANSPORT

How can I get more detail on what is wrong, or is there another step I am missing?

Thanks for reaching out to Qlik via Qlik Community Support page. Such issue require through analysis of Settings, hence request you to reach out to technical Support via a case and provide Diagnostics package .
