How large are "large" and "extra-large" systems

Hi there

We are adding more source systems and considering a hardware upgrade from current "Basic System".

The threshold levels are rather vague in the guide  HERE , so wondering if anyone has understanding / experience at what level we should be thinking of change. That is in terms of additional no of tasks,  no of users, volume of data, types of endpoint, etc.

Thanks folks

jonna

Hey @jonna ,

Unfortunately, there is no simple answer and the user guide is high level for that reason. Every customers environment is different, and here are many factors involved ex Number of tables, transaction throughput, size of transactions, data types, LOBs, number of tasks running on the Replicate server, the number of tasks running against a single source, etc.

My suggestion would be to engage our Professional Services group as they are experts in Deployment Integration and Architecture Design/Optimization. They will ensure a thorough and proactive setup of your environment with various architectural artifacts taken into account.

Best,

Kelly
