Hi Team,
I have the following use case, where I need to archive the files with the current timestamp appended to the file
and move that processed file into the archive folder.
Please guide me to achieve that through Qlik replicate.
Regards,
Gayatri
Hi @Vinayaka
Are you referring to the log files? If so, we do not have a mechanism to move files to another folder, only to remove them based on file management settings (if configured). This would need to be done in a batch file scheduled in the operating system.
Thanks,
Dana
What are those 'the files' ? What are the source/target endpoints user?
Are we talking about the task log as Dana suggests? Source files for a 'file source endpoind' or perhaps the target transmission CSV files after using the 'keepCSVFiles' settings?
I suspect the latter, and Replicate will typically NOT help with that.
Some targets have a 'usePostProcessing ' option which perhaps may be of value?
Some targets have a dedicated loader tool or commandline/commandpath. You might be able to substitute the official command with a script which first calls the proper loader and than archives as you desire.
In general though I suspect you'll end up with a scheduled server scripts to clean up, move and rename on a regular schedule. The CSV file creation dates may be of help, and you _might_ scan the task logs for further context on how/when the csv file was used.
Goof luck!
Hein.
