Internal Setting useZeroDestid

Hi,

Did a search in Qlik Support and google but nothing is found for internal setting "useZeroDestid" on the advanced tab for source endpoint.

Anyone know what it means/does?

Thank you.

Hello @PJP ,

Thanks for you contacting Qlik Support.

DEST_ID, Log archive destination parameter identifier, is a non-negative integer value from 1 - 31 for each possible standby destination. In Oracle docs, it says "The value is 0 if the destination identifier is not available.":
https://docs.oracle.com/en/database/oracle/oracle-database/21/refrn/V-ARCHIVED_LOG.html#GUID-51618DF...

However, in real world, some Oracle database instances are working with DEST_ID set to 0.  To support this rare scenario you need enable this parameter (the name is case sensitive) in Replicate Oracle source endpoint, see "Internal parameters" in

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/replicate/May2021/Content/Replicate/Main/Oracle/OralcleDB_sourcebinary_A...

Hope this helps.
