Is Attunity Server (Qlik Replicate) V5.3.4.0 compatible with DB2 V12 FL 500?
Jim,
Hello, thank you for the post to the QDI forums. The AIS product is now out of Service and depending on how the product is being used will depend on if you can move to the Replicate (ARC) Product for Z/OS. Can you share more details on the AIS Product and configuration you have for these environments and what type of Datasources you have configured on Z/OS? Since the AIS Product is out of Service (Support) you would be able to run with the new DB2 12 version however if you run into any issues we would not be able to assist if there is a DB2 12 issue with the tool. As posted the Replicate (ARC) component can be installed on Z/OS to connect to DB2 Tables defined to this environment, VSAM files, Flat Files along with IMS running on Z/OS with the new Product.

Bill Steinagle
Jim,
Great thank you for the reply as with the current setup and use of AIS for the data access the Replicate product can connect and access the data but your use case would not fit the Replicate usage. Just to cover all bases I have attached the Replicate Connect (ARC) component you install on the Z/OS environment to use with the Replicate product. Thank you again for reaching out and hope you find this information helpful.
Note: I just wanted to make sure you had all your options and possible replacement to AIS.
Thanks!
Bill
Hi @jdvan123
Can you please confirm the version of Replicate you are running? We did not publish a version 5.3, we went from version 5.2 to version 5.5 (these versions came out a few years back). I did check our most recent release, version 2022.5, and it does support DB2 V12 source on z/OS.
Thanks,
Dana
Hi @jdvan123
I found it, you're referring to the version of AIS (Attunity Integration Suite). I will check on this and follow up with you. Please also let me know the full version number of Replicate that you're using.
Thanks,
Dana
Hello @jdvan123
I hope you are doing well. Just to add on Dana's reply. i just want to let you know as well that AIS is a retired product .
Please refer here for more info.
I hope this helps!
Thanks

Hi @jdvan123
You might be able to use a native endpoint to connect to your source. What platform is DB2 hosted on in your environment?
Thanks,
Dana
Hi @jdvan123
Here is a link to consider if you would like to use the Db2 z/OS Native Endpoint.
Thanks
Barb
Hello @jdvan123 , copy @Barb_Fill21 , @Dana_Baldwin , @lyka ,
There are many benefits of migration to Qlik Replicate (rather than using Qlik/Attunity AIS):
1. AIS is out of support;
2. Qlik Replicate support end to end replication, AIS is a middleware which needs 3rd party ETL tool cooperation
3. Qlik Replicate support DDL , AIS does not.
4. Qlik Replicate needs a very lite component on Mainframe, AIS component on Mainframe is a fat AIS Server.
5. Qlik Replicate is easy use, drag/drop to design a task quickly in GUI by simple steps. In AIS Studio configuration a project/solution is pretty complex.
6. Qlik Replicate provides error/warning notification emails, resource control, transformations (in column level, table level, global level ) ... so many new features/enhancement while AIS does not contain these abilities.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
John.
