Is it acceptable to use Oracle Database Client (Full Client)?
To use Oracle endpoints, the Replicate server requires an Oracle client. However, the user guide states to install “Oracle Instant Client”. Regarding this, would “Oracle Database Client” (full client) also be acceptable? Or is it only supported if it is “Oracle Instant Client”?
Both Instant Client and Full Client are supported. However, in some scenarios, the Full Client is required. For example, support for the XMLTYPE data type requires the Full Oracle Client.
