Is there a way to archive logstream files?

Hi,

I'm wondering if there is a way to archive the older logstream files before they are deleted?

Cheers,

Mohammed

Hello @MoeE ,

I do not see such an option within Replicate. Maybe a batch job (on Windows), or shell script (on Linux) can be used  to archive the older files. However I'd like to understand further why need to keep the logstream FIles? These files are in binary internal format which can be used by Replicate only.

Regards,

John.

you would have to “re-stream” the logs from one log group to another with a lambda that reads in one log stream and batches it into the other.

This would mess up the cloudwatch timestamps but if the log already contains a timestamp then that might not matter? possible anyway, not ideal though.
