Limiting user's access to endpoints

I asked this question a couple of years ago when we were on Nov 22 version.
Have now upgraded to May 24 and was hoping for new opportunities !

I am looking for a way to limit edit permissions to specific endpoints.
Or .. to edit a Task, but not the endpoint.

Use case;  is that if I have an engineer working on a 'logistics' Task, I don't want them reconfiguring the endpoint to read from our HR database instead !
Or someone working on our HR database to create a new endpoint to an unauthorized target.

Are their any options for such restrictions ?
I don't mind i they are via QR or QEM.

In Qlik Replicate User permissions, the users role "Operator" and "Viewer" do not have EDIT privileges.
