Migration Server

Hi,

I would like to ask, if the production server is migrated from Windows 2016 to a new server on Windows 2019.

does it need to be reload all task or not?

Note: the target remains unchanged.

Hello @AldyPs ,

In general, an OS upgrade is transparent to Qlik Replicate. Hence reload is unnecessary. However, please ensure that all related software and components are fully compatible with Windows Server 2019, including:

  1. Source and target endpoint ODBC drivers

  2. .NET Framework versions

  3. Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio versions

  4. Support for TLS 1.2 or later in Windows Server 2019

That said, it’s difficult to predict all potential issues. A thorough acceptance test in a lower environment is strongly recommended before performing the upgrade in the production system.

Hope this helps.

John.
