Oracle Physical Standby vs Oracle Logical Standby as Source Endpoint

Good morning Community

We are about to create an Oracle source endpoint provided by a third party supplier. We have stated that they MUST provide Physical Standby and NOT Logical Standby for Replicate.

The support guide tells us this HERE  but would appreciate if someone out there could provide conclusive confirmation that this is the case or if there are any other tech considerations they have come across. We need this for a tech discussion we are having with the supplier.

Many thanks

Jonna

Hello @jonna ,

This is correct - Replicate supports Oracle standby database as source but does not support logical standby database.

Regards,

John.
