Qlik Replicate Clustering/Failover Question

Hi,

Good day! To the Qlik Replicate administrator who have done a clustering of Qlik Replicate for Failover.

Please confirm if the number of machine for a simple cluster will be below

1. Qlik Replicate Machine Node 1

2. Qlik Replicate Machine Node 2

3. Windows Server Machine that will handle the Windows Server Failover Cluster Manager (WSFC) and a Clustered Shared volume (CSV)

so basically, we need to prepare 3 machines to properly set-up the cluster

Thanks!

Hi @edward221096 ,

CSV (Cluster Shared Volumes) is a feature in Windows Server in which shared disks are concurrently accessible to all nodes within a failover cluster. Replicate doesn't require CSV and
you can build a windows cluster with 2 nodes also. Please discuss with your windows administrator on available options in your organization to build a windows cluster.

What replicate need is a windows HA cluster with a valid quorum. Please see the below link.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/failover-clustering/manage-cluster-quorum

Thanks,

Swathi
