Qlik Replicate PostgreSQL 18 support - roadmap

Hi Qlik Support & Community,

PostgreSQL 18 was officially released on September 25, 2025, and we are planning our upgrade roadmap accordingly.

Looking at the current Qlik Replicate Support Matrix (November 2025), PostgreSQL 18 is not yet listed as a supported source or target endpoint. The latest supported versions are 14.x, 15.x, 16.x, and 17.x.

Could you please clarify:
1. Is PostgreSQL 18 support currently on the roadmap for Qlik Replicate?
2. If so, is there a target release planned (e.g., May 2026)?
3. Are there any known compatibility issues or limitations with PostgreSQL 18 that we should be aware of in the meantime?

For context, we noticed that PostgreSQL 17 support was added in the May 2025 release, roughly eight months after its initial release. We are hoping for a similar turnaround for version 18.

1. I could not find any information about support for PostgreSQL 18 in the latest roadmap. I will verify this further and get back to you.
2. Same as point (1) above.
3. Based on my experience, I did not get specific issues regarding PostgreSQL 18 yet. If PostgreSQL is configured as the source endpoint, you may encounter the following warning:

[SOURCE_CAPTURE ]W: Supported major version numbers range is [9..17]. Source database version number is not supported.

Please wait until Qlik Replicate officially certifies PostgreSQL 18 as a supported source endpoint.

The only PostgreSQL client RPM currently certified in our environment is PostgreSQL Client 18.4. However, I need to connect to a PostgreSQL 15 database. Based on PostgreSQL compatibility documentation, the PostgreSQL 18.x client should be able to connect to a PostgreSQL 15 database without issue.

Do you foresee any concerns with deploying the PostgreSQL 18.4 client RPM on a Qlik Replicate May 2025 server running Oracle Linux 8.x? Specifically, I would like to confirm there are no compatibility issues between the PostgreSQL 18.4 client libraries and the Qlik Replicate May 2025 release.
