Qlik Replicate Tasks

Hi Everyone,

When you migrate tasks from the Test environment to the Production environment after making a change to the tasks, do you resume tasks after the migration or run through the advanced setting to resume from the last timestamp? When do you resume tasks after stopping gracefully vs at what time resume from the advanced setting?

Thanks

Hello,

The option Resume Processing will make the task continue replication from where it last stopped when the task was stopped (more used when the task is stopped without issues).

The Resuming from timestamp is used if you need the task to read changes prior or after to the time it was stopped (usually used to recover task from unexpected stop), in your case as you mentioned there were changes to the task settings while migrating to the production environment, we recommend you perform a Full Load as stated in the User Guide on the Run button options section:

If the schema or a filter was changed after the task stopped, the task should be reloaded as opposed to resumed.

Please find more information regarding the different run options in the link below:

We hope this could be of help, please let us know if we can help with anything else.

Kind regards,

Pedro
