Qlik replicate interface loads slow after upgrading to version May 2024 (2024.5.0.563)

Hi,

I have noticed that the QDI interface in browser loads slower after upgrading to May 2024 (2024.5.0.563).

I am using Chrome Version 138.0.7204.158 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Is there a way to check logs to see what's going on or increase the cache size?

Thank you.
Desmond

Hi @desmondchew

Please try clearing browser cache, cookies & history on your browser. I've seen issues in the past where some areas of the screen are not visible after an upgrade. While that is not what you report this is a good thing to rule out.

Beyond that you can check the task logs, the reputctl.log and the repsrv.log for clues. You can view and download the task log from the "view logs" area on the bottom right of the task's screen. You can view and download the repsrv.log from the server screen, logging tab, click View Logs. The Repuictl.log is only accessible on the server itself in the ..\data\logs directory.

Thanks,

Dana

Hello Desmond, @desmondchew

I'm not sure if I get the question very well. would you please elaborate the question? Are you meaning the task loading data slower, or the GUI fresh rate becomes slower? A sample will be helpful to understand the issue.

BTW, You upgraded from which version/build?

Regards,

John.

Hi John,

We upgraded from May 2023 (2023.5.0.874) into May 2024 (2024.5.0.563), skipping the Nov 2023 version.

I do mean the Qlik Replicate web console refresh for all tasks seems slow. When I click on home page it take some time to display all the tasks. We do have about 20-30tasks. When I drill down into any of the task, it would take some time to load that task. This is especially prominent when there's a failure task and needs reload or resume, it will take longer to start the job, connecting then start loading.

I would like to add, one of a particular task which has a long of error in the logs, when I switch from Monitor to Designer tab, it takes a while to refresh the GUI.

Hello Desmond, @desmondchew

Thanks for the update.

Would please clear the browser cache, or start the browser in incognitor mode and try again? And please monitor the CPU/Memory/network resource in the Server to see if some bottlenecks in resources. In short, Let's try to find some clue.

Thanks,

John.

Hi John,

I did more testing. We renew our ssl certificate today. As part of the process, I need to bring down Qlik services and restart it. I noticed when I bring up the Log Steam parent task it's taking a very long time to start then before we have upgraded the QDI version.

This is not just happening on the Log Stream tasks. If I make any changes on the Task settings and it took a long time to prompt the "save" button to allow me to save. In general everything seems to slow down.

The GUI stuck at the page "Loading Task Data" for a long time 10-15mins. Is there some logs we can retrieve to see what's going on?
