Regenerating SSL for Qlik Replicate

Good day, 

I require assistance with generating a new SSL for Qlik Replicate. I have been thru the motions on the community forum but a struggling with generating the self signed certificate and syntax.

Hello @PetervB ,

Besides @john_wang 's reply, you can also try this way to refresh your SSL certificate:

1- Stop Replicate services

2 - Rename the data folder under the SSL folder (\Program Files\Attunity\Replicate\data\ssl\data)

3 - Delete self-signed certificates in the management console

  1. Open a command prompt and enter MMC to open the console (on Windows Server, open "Manage computer certificates")
  2. Click the File drop-down menu and select Add/Remove snap-in

  3. Select Certificates and click Add

  4. Select Computer account. Click Next, then click Finish.

  5. Click OK to close the Add or Remove Snap-ins window
  6. Open Certificates and navigate to Local Computer, then Personal, then Certificates

  7. In the list of certificates shown, select the certificates where the "Issued To" value and the "Issued By" value equal your computer name and delete them.
  8. Close the Management Console.

4 - Run COMMAND as administrator and navigate to the ..\Attunity\Replicate\bin directory and then run the following command:
RepUiCtl.exe certificate clean

5 - Start Replicate services.

Hello @PetervB ,

Welcome to Qlik Community forum and thanks for reaching out here!

If you just want to let Qlik Replicate to re-generate the self signed certificate, you just need to:

1- Stop Replicate services

2- Rename the folder, or delete the existing certificate files. The default location on Windows is: C:\Program Files\Attunity\Replicate\data\ssl\data

3- Startup the services again.

Qlik Replicate will detect if these certificate files while services startup, and create them if these files do not exist.

Thank you so much John. The certificate files were auto-regenerated. However, when attempting to log on to the console, I get the following error...

For info, have tried MS Edge and Chrome browsers to no avail. Have been logging in daily to check our tasks. The server on which Qlik Replicate is installed, was rebooted this morning, and error only appeared post reboot.

Hello @PetervB ,

Thanks for the feedback. The message "Can't reach this page" in general means the Qlik Replicate services was not startup , or it's started but not ready for connection yet (in a few seconds only). Please check the 2 services status, and if any clue in "repsrv.log"/"repuictl.log" (default location is "C:\Program Files\Attunity\Replicate\data\logs" ).
