Replicate Shutdown for Windows Patching

If I need to bring Replicate down for Windows Patching, do I need to stop/start all of the replicate jobs or can you just stop/restart the service?  I know for Replicate Upgrades, it says to stop all of the jobs.

Hello @mbjohnson123 ,

Stopping the tasks manually prior to the Windows Patching is highly recommended. After the patching done RESUME the tasks one by one.

The major reason is that, while the Replicate Services starting up, the tasks will be auto-resumed (almost) at same time, if you have many tasks they may impact the service startup. So for safe sake, please stop/resume tasks manually, and you even control the tasks resume order accurately.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

John.
