We are currently having Qlik Replicate and Compose on November 2020 (7.0.0.304) version. We would like to upgrade them to the latest version. Please advise us the following questions:
1. What is the latest version that we could upgrade to?
2. Can we perform one direct upgrade to that version without any step version upgrades?
3. Should we upgrade the Replicate product first before upgrading Compose product?
4. How can we back up both Replicate and Compose before the upgrade?
5. Any upgrade instructions that you could email me?
6. When can we download the upgrades?
Thanks.
Huan Nguyen
Hi Huan,
For Replicate, the latest release is Qlik Replicate sp04-2021.11.0.266
You can upgrade from Replicate 7 to 2021.11 directly.
There is no required order of upgrade with Replicate and Compose so it doesnt matter which one you upgrade first.

Hello Huan,
Below are your answers from the Compose side. If you need specific instructions for upgrading compose, please open a support case and we will be glad to help you.
1. What is the latest version that we could upgrade to?
Ans: 2021.8 - sp12 (2021.8.538)
2. Can we perform one direct upgrade to that version without any step version upgrades?
Ans: It depends on the version of compose you are currently running. Based on your support case that I handled this week you are on 2021.8.0.465 and you should be able to upgrade directly to 2021.8 - sp12 (2021.8.538). Please note you have to run upgrade script as a part of the migration process. For further assistance please contact support.
3. Should we upgrade the Replicate product first before upgrading Compose product?
Ans: here is no dependency so its your choice
4. How can we back up both Replicate and Compose before the upgrade?
Ans: You'll need to back up the data and java folder from the installation directory. The default folder locations are:
C:\Program Files\Qlik\Compose\data
C:\Program Files\Qlik\Compose\java
5. Any upgrade instructions that you could email me?
Ans: It depends on the current version you are running. Please open a case with support if you need the exact steps.
6. When can we download the upgrades?
Ans: I am guessing you are asking where you can download the files for upgrade. You should be able to find all our files on our software download sites. If you need assistance, please open a case with support and we can walk you thru it.
Note: All of the above are from the compose side.
Hope this helps!
