Replicate console too slow

Hi Experts,

One of our customers is currently having a problem. The problem is that the web console screen is too late to use the web console. It has been confirmed that there are no network or other problems. Currently, about 50 tasks are in operation, and the other 50 are stopped. If there are more tasks in the web console, is it difficult to display the screen? The web console is almost hanging, is there any way to check the problem? Please let us know if there are any recommended number of tasks per instance.

Regards,

Kwangho

Hi,

I checked again and I changed port from 3552 to 4552. After than this issue is resolved and disappeared error message "[COMMUNICATION ]E: End of stream. [1003516] ".

If I could have understood the meaning of the error message, it would have been possible to solve the problem sooner, but it was regrettable that I did not receive an answer to the error message.

Still I don't know what is root cause but I think this error related network  port problem.

Also this error message related communication problem with GUI processor and WEB browser.

KwangHo

Hello KwangHo,

Thanks for you contacting Qlik Support. You opened a similar support case in salesforce. I will be assisting you in that case.

There is  Note in User Guide:

Note:

A number of variables affect the amount of tasks that can be run on a single Replicate Server, including the task configuration (e.g. how many tables are being replicated), the size of the source tables and the hardware configuration of the Replicate Server machine. Bearing this in mind, the number of tasks that can be run on a single Replicate Server should not exceed 100 (and may need to be significantly less depending on the aforementioned variables).

We need additional information to understand the issue:

1. Can you let me know what's the hardware specification of the Replicate server? inlucde CPU/Memory/HDD/Network etc;

2. Can you let me know is the problem relevant to the browser? how about you change browser among Chrome/IE/Edge/Fixfox etc

3. How about if you clean the browser cache and work under incognito mode?

4. How about if you connect to the Replicate Server from another machine

5. How about if you open only few tasks (and keep the task opened in the browser) ?

6. What's the bottleneck while you are facing the slowness?

However, I'm afraid you may reach the tasks total number boundary and it's hard to improve by a simple way.

Regards,

John.

Hi John,

I checked all kind. I tested only one task ran but same. What you mean the tasks total number boundary ?

is it ran tasks or just number of tasks  in a instance?

I tested my VM but it is not slow. It means something different reason.

So I  asked Case about   repsrv.log massage ([COMMUNICATION ]E: End of stream. [1003516] (at_lgnet.c:1880) )

But still not get any update.
