Unable to connect to Snowflake

We are trying to establish a Snowflake connection as a target. Currently following the https://help.qlik.com/en-US/replicate/May2023/Content/Replicate/Main/Snowflake%20Target/SNOW.htm article. However, we are still facing issues.

The "QLIK_DB" does exist on Snowflake.

Hello @RajasGujarathi ,

Above issue could be due to following reasons:

1. Driver is not installed as per the pre-requisites on the replicate machine

2. You might have defined the incorrect Database which did not exist on target

3. Kindly check for the case sensitive character.

4. Try to test this using ODBC connection.

Please follow the below links for more clarity.

https://community.snowflake.com/s/article/SQL-compilation-error-Object-does-not-exist-or-not-authori...

https://community.snowflake.com/s/question/0D50Z00008Korq5SAB/sql-compilation-error-object-does-not-...

We would request you open the support case by attaching the diagnostic package and set all server parameter to verbose and do the test connection.  Send repsrv.log for further investigation.

Thanks for understanding!!

Thanks @SachinB & @Arun_Arasu I am now able to connect to Snowflake as a target.

Had to install the Snowflake ODBC driver - https://docs.snowflake.com/en/developer-guide/odbc/odbc after launching the instance.

Hello @RajasGujarathi ,

Thank you for getting in touch with the Qlik Community.

Could you kindly verify the following points:

Do you possess the necessary privileges to access the QLIK_DB?

Please ensure that the drivers you are utilizing are compatible with the specifications outlined in the user guide.

Have you had the opportunity to review the logs? If so, could you please share the insights or findings from the logs?

Your cooperation and response are greatly appreciated.

Regards

Arun

Yes, we are running a PoC and have full access.

Please ensure that the drivers you are utilizing are compatible with the specifications outlined in the user guide.

I have not installed anything specifically or manually, I am using the driver that comes packaged with the Qlik - https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-nvvkm6lsly6i4

So far have viewed the logs that come as a part of Qlik Console it shows the same error as attached above, let me know if there is any other location where the logs are detailed.

Does this mean, I need to perform some manual steps before making use if Qlik?
