Unable to connect to db2/zos server using endpoint for Areplicate 2023 May

Hi,

we are testing new Areplicate version of 2023 May on our development environment.

We are using db2 driver with version v11.5.9

We are getting error :

But on checking the same, the file /odbc_cli/clidriver/lib/libdb2.so is present inside the directory.

Is there any compatibility issue with the driver version?

Any input would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Rahul

Hi @rahulkokane

Yes Replicate 2023.5 supports driver versions 11.5.6 and 11.5.8 only for DB2 on z/OS. The error message isn't related to this however, the driver file isn't in the file system path.

Please follow all the setup guidance in the User Guide here: Prerequisites #Prerequisites | Qlik Replicate Help

Thanks,

Dana

Hi @rahulkokane ,

Please make sure that the driver is defined in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH within site_arep_login.sh file. Execute arep_login.sh file before starting Replicate service.

Desmond

Hi,

Thank you, we do have LD_LIBRARY_PATH defined and also libdb2.so file present under mentioned directory path.

Also went through the documentation you shared.

What else can we look for/ missing things?

Regards,

Rahul

Hello @rahulkokane ,

Please make sure you are installing 64-bit driver for example v11.5.8_linuxx64_server_dec.tar.gz, 32-bit ODBC Driver are not supported.

Regards,

John.

Can you please try replicating the same scenario at your side with Amazon Linux once?

Hello @rahulkokane ,

Could you please make sure the "isql" works? It accesses the DB2z predefined DSN via ODBC APIs, as similar as Replicate. If it works then Replicate should work as well.

Troubleshooting the DB2z connection issue by using "isql" is much easier than within Replicate.

Hope this helps,

John.
