Unable to delete a target

I was trying to remove a target but I am getting an error that it cannot be deleted because a certain task is using it. The task is not available in the page but still could see it in the task directories. Can I simply drop the task in the task directories?

1. if the task does not show , but you still have the task folder, yes you can try to delete the folder,

- then delete the endpoint.
