Which MySQL driver versions are compatible with Qlik Replicate 2023.5 on Linux?

The documentation on Prerequisites does not document what versions of MySQL ODBC driver are compatible with the version of Replicate, only mentioning to install v8.0.32. https://help.qlik.com/en-US/replicate/May2023/Content/Global_Common/Content/SharedReplicateHDD/MySQL...

I doubt this is the only version of MySQL that is compatible, but what has been tested for compatability?

As an admin of client-managed Qlik Replicate, I need to know what versions are tested to work with the 2023.5 version, though this request extends to future versions of Replicate as well, as our system will be upgraded at some point.

Hi @wmcgee4

8.0.32 is the only driver certified with 2023.5 and all later versions up to 2024.5. Minor patches to later versions of this driver should also be supported. If there is a business or technical need to use a different version driver, please open a support case and we will check with our internal support team (we do not have a way to elevate issues to them via Community).

Thanks,

Dana

Hello @wmcgee4 ,

In addition to @Dana_Baldwin  comments, there are compatibility issues with certain versions of MySQL ODBC Drivers. For instance, some versions of the ODBC Driver fail to correctly return the primary key (PK) information of tables, causing the Qlik Replicate table transformation GUI to not display any primary keys. Generally, one of the most updated MySQL ODBC Version will be certified, For Qlik Replicate 2023.5, MySQL ODBC Driver 8.0.32 is certified and should be used.

Hope this helps.

John.
