Hello everyone,
I was wondering what happens if I check "Allow dynamic CAL assignment" for one document ? This would be for document CAL.
I don't have publisher.
For example, in an application, I currently have 11 people having a document CAL. Is there a way to use only, let's say, 8 doc CALS, for my 11 users ?
I have tried to check the box and to put a lower number of CALs allocated to this document but it doesn't work...
thanks for your answers
This helps a lot
Thank you
Thanks It helps me too. I will do this as I do not want users seeing all the documents they do not have access to
(Unsure if it answered your initial question though?) i think the answer is no isn't it. Once 8 users use a document. No more can access this document with only 8 spare doc cals unless you de-allocate 1 or more of the 8 users. It is not done automatically after say 24 hours (or a week) unfortunately if they do not use the document. It would be good if this could be done for say once a month users of a document.
Hi,
what if allow dynamic cal is checked and all the current cals are being used.
supposer now a user logs off and new user logs in will he be automatically assigned a cal
regards,
Nadeem
No, if "Allow dynamic CAL assignement" is checked and all the CALs are used, if someone logs off, the cal will still be allocated to him. You have to delete the CALs in QMC to set them free.
Otherwise, if you want a CAL to be free when the user logs off, you need a session CAL, not a document CAL
And also the document cal can only be deleted after the quarantine period.
Thanks a Lot
Thank you. It's help full.
