Cal Usage

Hello

 

I have a user that has used up all their allocated cal licenses.  How do I reset so they can get access again?

Depending on the license type:

  • Sessions CALs are "cleaned up" every 15 minutes
  • Usage CALs are reverted to the pool every month.
  • Named User CALs and Document CALs are assigned to a user, so as long as the user exists the license will be assigned, unless removed.

In addition to Miguel's post, here is a link to the QlikView Product Terms document, which has some further details on CALs that should help you as far as how they are allocated and used etc.
